“Encore – A celebration of song”

“Encore – A celebration of song”

Encore”  will present its annual concert in St Ninian’s Cathedral on Friday 6th May at 7.30pm.

“Encore”  is a long established choir of some 40 members and their repertoire for the 2016 concert includes songs from the shows, traditional Scots songs, and even a sea shanty.

This will be the first concert with “Encore” for the new musical director, Colin Murray, former head of the Music Department in Blairgowrie High School. He has challenged the choir to develop a new repertoire, and their first chance to perform this will be in the cathedral in May.

Also taking part will be young musicians from St John’s Academy and Perth High School who will perform during the concert.  In the interval refreshments will be provided.  Tickets can be obtained from members of the choir or at the door.

If you enjoy the concert and enjoy singing, then why not come and join the choir?  New members are needed for next season and no audition is required.
